LEGO Robotics Camp: SUMO Robotic Battles
LEGO Mindstorms NXT Robotics - Sumo Robotics Competition
Robotic Sumo competitions are staged for two autonomous robots and each attempts to push each other out of a ring. Campers address the unique engineering challenges of building a robot capable of finding its opponent (using sensors) and then pushing it out of the arena, using no controls, tethers, or connections to the host computer during the competition. Campers will construct robots using MINDSTORMS® NXT kits. On the last day of camp, teams will compete in a Sumo tournament to determine the “strongest” and most agile Sumo Bot. Parents and siblings are invited to attend the final competition.

LEGO Engineering Camp:
LEGO Engineering: Structures & Basic Machines
Through this hands-on camp, students will use Legos as they are introduced to the concept of force. They will learn about strong shapes in a load bearing structure as well as how to build tall towers. Through experimentation, students will use what they learned with their creativity to compete in building the Strongest Tower, Tallest Tower and Strongest Wall challenge. Creations will be put to the test by our top Lego engineers!

Carpentry Camp:
Do you like to hammer nails? Do you like to make things out of wood? Learn how to use basic hand tools to build simple projects! Make a tool box, key rack, bird house and more!! You will begin by learning the safe use and care of tools and will practice with them before building. You will learn general wood working skills, sanding, and painting. Only safe paints will be used, and wood pieces will be pre-cut and pre-drilled.

LEGO Robotics Camp: The Robotics Zoo
LEGO Mindstorms NXT Robotics - The Robotic Zoo
Learn to design, build, and program a robotic animal! Students will learn the robotics and engineering skills needed to create their own model Robot Animal. The workshop will cover sturdy building, basic programming, building with gears, and project planning through hands-on design challenges. We will use the LEGO NXT, motors, and sensors to create our robots. For the final challenge, students will design & build their own robot to be a member of our robotic zoo.

Chef Camp
Chef Camp
You will learn to cook using fresh nutritious ingredients without prepared mixes (prepare food “from scratch”)! Take home your own apron, chef’s hat and a CD with all of your creative recipes and pictures taken in class so that you can show your family how you can cook! (There are new recipes for returning students)You will learn about nutrition, know how to follow a recipe, and it will be fun measuring, stirring batter, cracking eggs and more hands-on fun!

LEGO Engineering Camp: Crazy Contraptions
In this camp students will put their LEGO Engineering skills to the test building Crazy Contraptions! Design and build a LEGO Race car to compete in the LEGO Race car tournament! Different building challenges will include building a windmill or merry-go-round, street sweeper, and even a LEGO catapult!
