Chess Club I - (4 Weeks) - 6/15 - 7/8

Have fun playing chess with your friends!! Learn chess strategies and openings! Solve chess diagrams and puzzles. First learn the basic rules of chess: piece movement, check and checkmate and special rules. You will have plenty of time to play chess, and empha­sis will be on making the game fun. For more advanced players, there will be tourna­ments and new strategies applied to game time! You will all be encouraged to play with friends and family outside of class, too! .

Spy Camp -(2 Weeks) 6/14 - 6/25

SECRET AGENT TRAINING... As you go through your training to be a secret agent, you will write clues, make secret maps, and put on various disguises. Learn to write and decipher secret codes, speak in accents, analyze evidence and much more! Using your agent training technique, the class will go on a Scavenger Hunt for the last day of class. ***MARTIAL ARTS FOR SECRET AGENTS!***Every secret agent needs to be in top shape and know how to defend themselves! Master David Burgett, owner of Valencia Martial Arts, will be the top agent in charge of class! Have fun and get in shape!! Learn self-defense moves--basic strikes, blocks, punches and kicks! (non-contact)

Science Camp - (2 Weeks) 6/28 - 7/9

(NO CAMP on JULY 5TH) Make silly putty and discover what it really is! Make a balloon rocket! You will participate in fun, hands-on experiments that explain science in everyday life. Experiment with ingredients that form chemical reactions, test the properties of magnets, make a mini ecosystem and much more! You will have lots of opportunity to be a part of the process in the amazing science experiments class!***EXPLORING SCIENCE WITH LEGO BUILDING***Design, invent and build! Be creative! Work in teams to share your ideas and designs and to construct your projects. Each week there will be a new theme for your team to create, from structures to vehicles, to creatures and more! This is a great class to learn more about science, math and engineering! (Lego pieces are supplied in class but do not go home with students).

Chef Camp - (2 Weeks) 7/12 - 7/23

This camp includes 45 minutes of Guitar Class, 1 hour of Song Writing and Creation, and 1 hour of Piano class. Class may vary with short periods using other instruments, such as drum pads and drum sticks to develop rhythm. Materials Included are a piano book and metronome. Piano keyboards are provided, but students may bring their own. Camper must bring his/her own acoustic guitar.

Tuition: $240

Some of the fabulous dessert creations in this class are Golden Apple Crisp, Whole Wheat Applesauce Raisin Cookies, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, and much more! You will learn about nutri­tion, know how to follow a recipe, and it will be fun measuring, stirring batter, cracking eggs and more hands-on fun! Take home your own apron, chef’s hat and a CD with all of your creative recipes and pictures taken in class so that you can show your family how you can cook! (There are new recipes for returning students)

Movie Making / Art Camp - (2 Weeks) 7/26 - 8/6

Produce your very own movie! Discuss fairy-tales, mythical creatures, and dream worlds, and then make a movie that is your very own story. Be a director, writer, cameraman, actor, and costume designer. Design your own characters, play improv acting games, and practice group script writing to ultimately create your own movie! Camp includes: Character Creation, Storyboarding, Costume and Set Design, and Live Action Filming.
